Have-a-Go SessionsNot sure if Diving is for you?
Are you are interested in scuba diving, but you're not sure its for you? Do you simply want to experience the sensation of breathing underwater for the first time, in a fun and safe environment? RRSAC offer 'Have-a-Go' taster sessions to anyone that is interested in trying the sport before committing to a full course. A typical session involves finding out a bit more about diving and the equipment, before spending ~45 minutes diving in the pool with an experienced BSAC qualified instructor. Many of us started our diving careers at a similar Have-a-Go event, leading to discovery of a whole new underwater world of historic shipwrecks, coral reefs, colourful and unusual marine life, and even coming face to face with sharks! These sessions are open to all, as long as you’re in good health and are confident to swim 100m. To take part in scuba diving, kids must be over 12, but we can run snorkelling sessions for under 12s. We hold regular events with groups, including the Air Cadets, Scout groups, and any individuals who are curious about diving. The cost of a have-a-go session is £15 for adults and £10 for under 16s, which goes towards the cost of hiring the pool and maintenance of the club equipment.
